Here is a bit about myself for those of you who don't know me personally.
Username : I noticed that in some reviews, they look at your username, and I thought it might be nice for people to know what it really means, instead of what they perceive it to be.
When I first started at diaryland, my username meant nothing more than just a song that I liked, I Am Blessed by Rachael Lampa. However, as time passed, my name came to mean that I was truly blessed to have all of the luxuries I take for granted each day. Because I know that I don't give everything and everyone the thanks that they deserve.
My name is much more than a song or an emotion. I truly am blessed, every day of my life, whether I feel that way or not.
Name : Courtney Jane
Birthdate : January 31, 1988
Location : Currently in residence at Saint Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, NS. It may be in the middle of nowhere, but at least it's a friendly little Maritime town. During the summer and on holidays, I load my possessions [and all of my dirty laundry] into Joey's beast of a Mercury, and drive a grueling four hours to my family's home in Miramichi. Mainly for the food. But we won't tell them that.
Hair : Rather orange, to tell the truth. I've been told that it is "a lovely shade of copper" by one rather insane art teacher in high school.
Eyes : A strange one; I've inherited my mother's eyes, which do not have a colour, but rather the qualities of a reptile: chameleon. They change from blue, to green, to grey, and back again, depending on mood, weather, and their own strange liking.
Corrective Lenses : I wear glasses daily, although I don't necessarily need them other than for driving and distances. I probably should have listen to my optometrist five years ago, and only worn them when I needed to. Alas, I did not, and am now quite partial to my spectacles.
Teeth : Straight at last! I had braces for a year and a half, then had to get them back on the bottom because of a retainer mistake. I've been free for approximately six years to date.
Pets : Since dogs are not allowed in a university residence, or at my home for that matter because of my mother's allergies, I do not currently, nor have I ever had a dog. But I do plan on getting one when I am settled into my own place.
Talents : Piano, voice, others which shall not be named.
Favourite Food: I love sushi. And I could probably live forever on salads. Pasta salad, potato salad, even a simple garden salad. I never seem to tire of them.
Favourite Drink : They stopped selling Snapple Iced Tea in Canada, or at least anywhere I've looked for it in Canada. So every time I travel to the States for shopping or whatever else I may be doing, I try to pick up as many bottles of Snapple Raspberry Iced Tea that I am allowed. Yum.
Favourite Color : Beyond a doubt: purple. I've heard that everyone goes through a purple phase at least once in their life. However, mine has been much longer than most, now that it has been well over three years since my eyes were first drawn to the royal color.
Favourite Holiday : Christmas. I love the traditions and the food, and the singing. Everything!
Favourite Time of Day : Night time. I love when it's dark and sensuous. And especially since I've been at university, I get to cuddle at night.
Favourite Kind of Music : My music styles have changed so drastically over the years that it would be hard to pick a single genre to be my favourite. As long as there's no screaming, or rapping about money and whores, or any of that new emo-punk-whatever garbage.
Favourite Artist/Band : I believe that Regina Spektor is an absolute genius.
Hobbies : I don't do much, to be honest. I enjoy playing the piano when I'm home alone, or watching movies/shows over and over until I know practically every word. Yeah, I'm a loser like that.
Been in Love? : I am currently head over heels in love with one Mr. Joey Dignam. He's rad.
Have a Boyfriend? : I do. And quite a fine hunk of one too
Best Friend[s] : To quote the coolest fourth grader at Third Street School, "I don't have a best friend. I've got five."

Dislikes : Onions, peppers, dust in my room, incessant and unnecessary swearing, ignorance.
Likes : Broccoli, potato salad, broccoli casserole, iced tea, cranberry juice, ginger ale, pillows, reading, walking, hugs, kisses.
